The course is tailored to assist all Internationally Educated Nurses to participate and acquire appropriate guidance for the Rural and Urban Hospital workforce. The unit staff's expectations, competencies, scope of practice, and necessary skill tools to be successful in your nursing Career

Our Instructors:

Our instructors are a mix of IEN, Canadian graduates and Physicians with active registration status and working at the bedside and as Clinical Nurse Educators. Experience ranges between 8 to 25 years in practice in Rural and Urban Hospital ERs. Acute care, Critical care, and Cardiology.

IEN Path to Success workshop – 2 days (16 hours)
Physical assessment and critical lab values – 1 day (8 hours)
Basic and 12 ECG Interpretation – 1 day (8 hours)

ACLS provider certification (Heart and Stroke Foundation) – 2 days (16 hours)

Course admission eligibility criteria:

An Internationally Educated Nurse
An RN/LPN active License in Canada
Planning to work in a rural-urban community hospitals
