Our Instructors:

Our instructors are a mix of IEN, Canadian graduates and Physicians with active registration status and working at the bedside and as Clinical Nurse Educators. Experience ranges between 8 to 25 years in practice in Rural and Urban Hospital ERs. Acute care, Critical care, and Cardiology.

  1. IEN Path to Success workshop – 2 days (16 hours)

  2. Physical assessment and critical lab values – 1 day (8 hours)

  3. Basic and 12 ECG Interpretation – 1 day (8 hours)

  4. Rural Acute Care Review – 1 day (8 hours)

  5. Cardiology review – 1 day (8 hours)

  6. Rural-Urban Emergency Review  – 1 day (8 hours)

  7. ACLS provider certification (Heart and Stroke Foundation) – 2 days (16 hours)

Course admission eligibility criteria:

  1. An Internationally Educated Nurse

  2. An RN/LPN active License in Canada

  3. Planning to work in a rural-urban community hospitals
