Can I cancel a course if I have already registered?If a student wishes to cancel a course (BLS, First aid in all levels, MHFA, ACLS, PALS in-person and Blended and PEARS) after payment is processed and course is confirmed, the request must be in writing to info@beatsandbreathsacademy.com not later than 14 days prior to the scheduled date. Any cancellation within 14 days is not eligible for refund. TNCC course requires very strict cancellation policy set by ENA and any student wished to cancel TNCC course must request in writing 30 days in advance of scheduled date to be eligible for refund minus the student manual fee ($130). How do I access my Heart and Stroke certifications?Go to Heart and Stroke website. https://cpr.heartandstroke.ca/ Enter your HSF ID that was given to you by the instructor or from Heart and Stroke via email then click continue. If you have already set up your account, enter the password. If you have not received an email from Heart and Stroke previously to set up the account you must click on "FORGOT Password" then enter your HSF ID or email once prompted then click on RESET PASSWORD. Check your email for further instruction from Heart and Stroke Once the password has been set, go to your dashboard and click "My certification". Select appropriate certification and Download certification.

Once we create an account you will receive notification email from heart and stroke to set up your password. By logging onto your account, you can access course resources, view your certification, training history (so you know when you need to recertify) and download / print / share your course completion cards, and much more.

What are the benefits of the IEN Workshops?As an internationally Educated Nurse, you have the educational equivalency that has been verified by CRNA. Do you offer any government funding for IEN workshop?No, at present we do not have any financial support from the government. Students' are responsible for the workshop fee. There may be other agencies and organizations that may support registered nurses through funding. Reach out to your work unions, employer, immigration and settlement agencies to get support and funding for continuing education.

How long the BLS certification is valid in Alberta?The BLS certification issued from Heart and Stroke is valid for 1 year. When you download your certification, it would show the Month and Year not the date on your certification. You have until the end of the month to renew your certification.

What is BLS blended course?The BLS Blended Provider course is designed for first-time BLS learners and those who do not use their BLS skills regularly. After successfully passing the online component (self-directed, but typically approx. 1 - 2 hours), students attend a 2-hour in-person skills practice and evaluation session. However, If you are working in an area where you utilize the ACLS skills regularly you may contact us and we can confirm your eligibility for ACLS renewal. We offer grace period of 3 months if you work in ER, Critical care, ACP etc. You must get an advance approval from an instructor to enroll to renewal if your certification has expired. Who can register for TNCC?Participants must be an RN and possess a current unrestricted nursing license to receive verification. LPNs and paramedics are eligible to attend all portions of the course except for the written and psychomotor evaluations. For this reason, they do not receive certification but are awarded contact hours.

Can I buy TNCC book only? I am not attending the class?No, at Beats and Breaths Academy ltd. the TNCC books are available to TNCC course registered participants only.

Does TNCC course fee include the TNCC book?Yes, TNCC course fee is collected for the skills and include the TNCC book. We will contact you once the course is confirmed 30 days in advance. You have the option to pick up the book from our location or request to mail it to you once you have paid for the course and the course is confirmed. The TNCC course cancellation has strict guidelines and TNCC books are non-refundable.
