Prerequisites

  • Active BLS Provider Certification from the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

  • Current License as an RN, LPN, or RPN in Canada.

Delivery Method:

Blended (A strategic combination of virtual, self-paced online, and in-person training).

🎓 Course Curriculum & Package Breakdown

Option 1 - IEN Essential Workshops - Total hours: 96 hours (Fee estimate: $2499)

  1. Nursing Essential assessment and skills

  2. IV insertion and infusion

  3. Basic ECG review and ACS management

  4. Nursing documentation

  5. Conflict management, PPE, Patient safety & Safe transfer

  6. Wound care and PICC/Central line care

  7. Nursing communication, Scope and Standard of practice

  8. Med-Surg./Acute Unit expectation and routine

  9. Long term care and Home care review

Option 2 - Advanced certification - Total hours: 88 hours (Fee estimate: $2500)

  1. ACLS provider (Heart and Stroke)

  2. PALS provider (Heart and Stroke)

  3. CTAS (NENA)

  4. ITLS provider (ITLS Alberta)

  5. NRP provider (CPS)

  6. TNCC Provider (ENA, NENA)

Option 3 - All inclusive - Total hours: 184 hours (Fee estimate: $4999)

  1. Nursing Essential assessment and skills

💡 Understanding Our Delivery Methods

  • 💻 Virtual Class: Live, instructor-led online sessions. You must log in and attend on a scheduled day via our online classroom.

  • ⏱️ Online: Self-paced modules that are not instructor-led. These can be completed at your convenience but must be finished before your course deadline.

  • 🏥 In-Person Class: Hands-on, practical sessions led by expert clinical instructors at Edmonton location
