Nursing Skills Workshop: Tubes and Drains
This workshop is designed to enhance nursing skills related to the management and insertion of various tubes and drains, including Foley catheterization, suprapubic catheterization, nasogastric tube insertions, and tube feeding. Participants will gain hands-on experience and theoretical knowledge to ensure safe and effective patient care.
Workshop Objectives
Understand the indications and contraindications for each type of tube and drain.
Demonstrate proper techniques for Foley catheterization and suprapubic catheterization.
Perform nasogastric tube insertion and understand the process of tube feeding.
