About the Event
Blended learning combines the strengths of online learning and in-classroom training. Among its many qualities, BLS Blended provides a convenient, flexible and robust option for busy health professionals and emergency responders. This option is particularly feasible when balancing the demands of working and learning are critical, such as during a global pandemic!  Powered using a new, user-friendly online learning platform, BLS Blended teaches the same curriculum and hones the same skills as our traditional, instructor-led course – but on average, it takes less time to complete. A Blended course is divided into two parts: Â
Part 1: Online: a self-paced, cognitive learning and assessment program with easy access to a rich array of resources, activities, learning videos, knowledge checks and an electronic exam. Once you have completed the first part of the program you will move on to the in-person portion. Â
Part 2: In-class: an instructor-led, classroom-based session where you will benefit from ample opportunity for hands-on skills practice, expert coaching, debriefing, team scenarios and comprehensive skills testing. The full BLS Blended Provider course duration depends on the pace of the online component: Â
Course duration: Part 1 Online: ~ 1 - 2 hours Part 2 In-class: ~ 2 hours Total: 3 - 4 hours Â
Required Manual: Basic Life Support Provider Manual With your access to BLS Blended you will receive online access to the BLS Provider Manual as an eBook for 1 year (duration of certification) Â *Access to the online course is provided by your instructor Â
Note: The blended course fee include online access key, online student manual and online exam that must be completed prior to the in-class scheduled date. Successful online component is mandatory to attend the in-person class. ImportantÂ
